A hot summer, continuous monitoring

Snow Secure monitors temperatures around the clock. Between June and the end of August, the surface reached 54 °C (129,2 °F). Under the insulation, the average stayed at 2.1 °C (35,8 °F). The solution combines XPS insulation with integrated rain protection.

“We had a particularly hot summer. For now, we’re pleased, because there’s still a good volume left.”

  • GEOTEXTILE ONLY · AUGUST 2026

According to Sylvain Authier, no snow remained by the end of August.

  • SNOW SECURE · 1 SEPTEMBER 2026

The stored snow remains clearly visible. The final volume will be measured at opening.

In the same area at Métabief, a section covered only with geotextile has had no snow since late August — under Snow Secure protection, the stored snow remains clearly visible as of 1 September. The final volume will be measured at opening, confirming whether the goal of a slope ready for the Christmas holidays has been met.
