Savings and more income
The snow infrastructure of a modern ski resort consists of snowmaking and snow storage. By combining the best aspects of both snowmaking and snow storage, snow safety will be improved and snowmaking costs will be cut.
It is easier for customers to buy the services of the ski resort when the exact opening date of the snow season is known months in advance. Being able to guarantee snow also improves the ski resort’s image and improves sales throughout the season.
Snow Secure’s concept provides the best end results when you want to guarantee snow in an area of 2000 –200.000 m2 in the beginning of the skiing season.
It is possible to obtain EU funding or other types of public funding for the snow storage coverss. The acquisition of snow storage covers is also a valid investment that can be entered in the balance sheet of your company. The snow storage covers can be re-used year after year.
At many ski resorts, water is a valuable element. A snow storage pile is a form of water storage, and it reduces the need to build expensive water reservoirs for snowmaking or to pump water up the slopes.

The Snow Secure snow storage concept is the result of a long product development process. It is a reliable and easy-to-use solution. Thanks to its good insulating properties and water vapour blocking ability, this new method is also effective.
It takes about one workday for a team of eight persons to insulate or disassemble a 10.000 m3 snow storage pile. Stored snow has great durability properties. One metre of stored snow is equivalent to about 1.5 metres of compacted, freshly made cannon snow when the air temperature remains above 2 degrees Celsius.
